Between Factory and Frame: Daniel James, Latin American History, and Paisajes del Pasado
This roundtable explores the work and contributions of Daniel James, recently Professor Emeritus of History and former Mendel Chair of Latin American History at Indiana University from 2000 to 2024. Over a career spanning some four decades, James’s scholarship has dramatically advanced conversations related to Peronism and trade unions in Argentina; oral history and memory in Latin America; gender and labor; and visual culture.
