From science classroom to care: The healthcare aspirations of young people

Healthcare careers, including those in nursing, medicine, pharmacy, and psychology, remain vital and yet some groups of people are under-represented in these fields. Science teachers have a unique opportunity to break down barriers and open these professions to all students. This session explores the lasted research and suggests practical ways science educators can support students to pursue healthcare careers.
