Working with AI to support future-proofing eco-centric pedagogies
An introduction will consider the global priorities we are facing and the importance for teachers to be confident in creating learning opportunities for their learners. The session will start with a lecture style and move onto a workshop. The aims of the session: 1. Provide a sound understanding for the need for high-quality eco-centric pedagogical approaches to climate change. 2. Show how scientific literacy and climate literacy can and should be comprehensively connected in the primary curriculum. 2. Introduce participants to a range of curriculum-aligned resources that are available with a particular focus on application of AI. 3. Provide a space for participants to collaboratively apply AI (ChatGPT) in creating a simple lesson plan/resources.
