A Framework to Support Neurodiversity in a Global Context
This presentation explores the importance of inclusion, equity, and diversity in an international context for students with disabilities. By examining global perspectives, mindsets, and neurodiversity, we will share international case studies. Different aspects including professional development, student assessment and instructional best practices to create inclusive educational environments will be shared. Participants will be able to: 1. Define neurodiversity and identify barriers in inclusion in the global context. 2. Identify their own mindset and various tools available for conducting equity and inclusion audits in their district. 3. Implement Quality Inclusive Practices that support access and participation in their setting based on the needs identified via the audit tool.
