This session explores the promise and pitfalls of artificial intelligence in special education. Presenters will showcase AI translation tools, accessibility-focused applications, personalized learning supports, and ethical frameworks. Participants will gain strategies to leverage AI for inclusion, efficiency, and equity while critically evaluating its impact on students with disabilities. Participants will be able to: 1. Evaluate the role of AI translation and accessibility tools in promoting inclusion and reducing barriers for diverse learners. 2. Apply AI tools to personalize learning and streamline assessment, giving teachers more time for direct student support. 3. Analyze ethical frameworks, including an AI rubric, to guide responsible use of AI in supporting students with disabilities.
