This session explores the effectiveness of a social skills app with embedded video modeling for students with autism. We examine whether skills practiced in the app generalized to untrained environments, such as the lunchroom and playground, highlighting implications for technology-supported interventions and real-world social skill development.Participants will be able to: 1. Implement practical strategies for integrating app-based social skills instruction into daily routines, including methods for reinforcing learned behaviors in natural settings. 2. Apply simple data collection and observation techniques to monitor the transfer of social skills from digital tools to real-world interactions, enabling more effective progress tracking and intervention adjustments.
