The Aspiring Special Educator Pathway Project is a scalable strategic result producing special education teacher pipeline with proven results leading to certification and strategic job placement. Through dual enrollment, fieldwork, paid training, and mentorship, students earn licensure while gaining experience—creating a scalable model for addressing the educator shortage.Participants will be able to: 1. Design a collaborative special educator pipeline model by applying the core elements of the Aspiring Special Educator Pathway Project, including early recruitment through secondary school partnerships, dual enrollment options, and integration of field experiences with academic coursework. 2. Implement targeted strategies to reduce barriers to special education licensure by leveraging community and employer resources. 3. Evaluate and refine pathway effectiveness using data-driven decision-making.
