Collaboration in Action: Developing Best Practices for Interagency Teams

Teamwork makes the dream work! By focusing on collaborative strategies dedicated to advancing Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) developed by Virginia's Collaborative Model for Pre-ETS, participants will learn the benefits of collaboration between stakeholders, problem-solve challenges that Pre-ETS teams face, and develop action steps to enhance their practice. This session will be filled with action, strategies, and resources developed in partnership with Virginia's Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services. Participants will be able to: 1. Develop an understanding of how collaborative strategies can elevate Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), including the success strategies for the collaborative partnership with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors 2. Understand the importance of collaboration, communication, and coordination when working with interagency teams. 3. Be equipped with actionable collaborative strategies, resources, and a plan they can put into action in their role as a collaborator. 4. Leave with the ability to apply these strategies and resources to improve Pre-ETS services in their own organizations or regions.
