Data in Action: Decision-Making for Intensive Reading Intervention

This interactive session will support educators’ use of data-based instruction (DBI) to meet the intensive needs of students with reading disabilities. We will walk through the DBI process—progress monitoring, decision-making, and intervention adaptation—and share practical tools and strategies to support evidence-based responses to student data in real-world settings.Participants will be able to: 1. Reflect upon their own data use practices and DBI implementation. 2. Interpret individual student’s CBM progress graphs. 3. Implement self-monitoring procedures to guide their instructional decision-making.
