Digital Media Literacy for Youth: A Scoping Review of Programs

This presentation summarizes a systematic review of digital media literacy programs for youth, identifying effective strategies, gaps, and design principles for scalable, culturally responsive content. It also previews TYDE project modules that integrate social-emotional learning into interactive digital lessons, offering insights for developers, educators, and researchers supporting adolescent well-being.Participants will be able to: 1. Understand the current landscape of digital media literacy programs for youth. 2. Identify effective components and gaps across reviewed interventions. 3. Gain insights into the co-design of digital SEL/media literacy content.
