Does Student Voice Matter? Findings from a Meta-Analysis on Student Voice in Behavioral Self-Regulation Interventions
This presentation includes results from a meta-analysis of behavioral self-regulation intervention research conducted in high schools. We analyzed the impact of self-regulation components on academic engagement and disruptive behaviors, and evaluated the extent to which student voice was incorporated in intervention design decisions and whether student voice moderated intervention outcomes.Participants will be able to: 1. Identify and describe at least three effective, evidence-based self-regulation intervention strategies. 2. Identify and describe at least three strategies for incorporating student voice in self-regulation intervention design decisions. 3. Locate resources for implementing self-regulation and student voice interventions in their classroom.
