Empowerment in Action: Centering Student Voice and Elevating Learning Experiences

There are a variety of skills, abilities, and beliefs associated with self-determination. Yet, students have few opportunities to engage in self-determined actions. However, we can shift practices to center students and provide opportunities. Participants will learn ways to center student voice through self-determination and how students' can inform instructional practices. Participants will be able to: 1. Have an increased understanding of self-determination & knowledge of effective strategies for enhancing self-determination. 2. Identify methods to shift practices to support diverse students, fostering inclusive environments & ways to use student voice & goals to inform practice
