A social studies curriculum was recently published that's designed for students with ESN in grades k-2. The curriculum is scripted and embeds evidence-based practices, readings, and games into lessons. This presentation will outline findings on content acquisition, self-determination, and social validity after using the curriculum in an elementary ESN classroom.Participants will be able to: 1. Describe the components of and purpose of the curriculum. 2. Explain study findings on content acquisition, self-determination, and social validity. 3. Describe implications of this work for their own practice.
