Evidence-Based Instructional Practices that Promote Access and Progress in General Education

Students with disabilities are general education students first, but what does it look like to promote access and progress in general education? This session will highlight high-leverage instructional and behavioral practices that ensure students with disabilities are not only present in general education settings but are able to make progress.Participants will be able to: 1. Identify instructional and behavioral practices that support access to the general education curriculum for students with disabilities. 2. Explain how supplementary aids and services function as tools to remove barriers for students with disabilities in the general education setting. 3. Access resources to support educators in promoting access and progress for students with disabilities in the general curriculum.
