From Burnout to Breakthrough: Cultivating a Healthy Special Education Workforce
A healthy special education workforce is essential to providing an effective education to students with disabilities. Four presentations share empirical findings and tips to strengthen educator well-being, including for special education teachers and behavior analysts. Participants will walk away with tools and resources that can be applied across settings. Participants will be able to: 1. Describe recent findings regarding educator working conditions, burnout, and well-being, and explore the implications of these findings for their own practice. 2. Engage in interactive discussion with one another and with presenters about how they can help better cultivate a healthy special education workforce using tools and resources discussed.
