Hot Topic | Get the Tea from Teachers!

Get the "tea" on hot topics in teaching with and from other teachers! This session is for teachers by teachers. Whether you are a first-year newbie or a 25-year veteran, join your peeps to exchange ideas and network with colleagues nationwide. Participants will converse and share strategies for common challenges in small groups based on the topic that excites them most. This session will be engaging, informal, and directed by attendees’ preferences for what is discussed. Come join us and spill a little (metaphorical) tea!Participants will be able to: 1. Share collaborative thinking about critical issues, sharing knowledge and perspectives, and networking. 2. Develop the skill of fostering open communication, actively listening, and contributing constructively to group discussions on various teaching-related topics. 3. Acquire the ability to articulate their insights and experiences in teaching, effectively sharing knowledge and diverse perspectives with their peers (this outcome aims to enhance participants' communication skills, enabling them to convey their thoughts clearly and contribute meaningfully to the exchange of ideas). 3. Leave the session with an expanded professional network of teachers nationwid; learn strategies to connect with and build relationships with colleagues, creating opportunities for ongoing collaboration, support, and resource-sharing within the teaching community (this outcome aims to strengthen participants' professional connections and contribute to their continuous professional development).
