How to Create a Classroom to Provide Positive Reinforcement

This presentation will provide participants with an understanding of how to create a classroom environment that is designed to teach and reinforce pro-social behaviors. Participants will learn specific Tier 1 strategies that prevent problem behaviors by creating a classroom environment that encourages students to display pro-social behaviors.Participants will be able to: 1. Articulate the rationale for designing a classroom that is based on teaching and reinforcing pro-social behaviors. 2. Demonstrate instructional approaches to teaching and reinforcing pro-social behaviors for individuals and classroom. 3. Implement individual and class-wide strategies that will enable pro-social behaviors to be recognized and reinforced at high rates.
