Learning Braille Through Play
This program supports children with multiple disabilities by using LEGO Braille Bricks in engaging, hands-on activities. By exploring the Braille Program’s Learning through Play approach, participants enjoy inclusive, engaging experiences. The concept supports Braille learning in an interactive, meaningful, and accessible way, encouraging development across diverse learning needs.Participants will be able to: 1. Describe and implement a play-based approach tailored to teaching blind or visually impaired children with or without additional needs, using strategies that promote engagement, creativity, and active participation. 2. Effectively use LEGO Braille Bricks to design and facilitate inclusive, hands-on learning activities that build Braille literacy and support diverse developmental goals. 3. Adapt the Learning through Play concept to various inclusive educational settings, creating accessible and motivating experiences that foster collaboration, independence, and confidence in visually impaired learners with or without other disabilities.
