Level Up: An In-District, Evidence-Based Alternative to Outside Placement

Level Up is a school-based therapeutic program that uses ABA strategies to support students with complex behavioral needs. This session explores how in-district implementation of FBAs, BIPs, and SEL instruction creates sustainable, inclusive solutions that reduce restrictive placements and improve student outcomes.Participants will be able to: 1.Describe the foundational structure of an in-district therapeutic program and identify how ABA-based strategies support students with significant behavioral needs. 2. Learn how to implement Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and integrate SEL instruction into daily classroom routines. 3. Leave with practical tools and planning considerations to create or enhance in-district programs that reduce reliance on restrictive placements and improve student outcomes.
