Leveraging Behavior Intervention Plans and Crisis Response Plans to Foster Consistency Across Educational Settings

This presentation will explore the effective use of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Crisis Response Plans in collaboration with teaching teams to support students exhibiting unexpected behaviors. Emphasis will be placed on promoting consistent responses among school staff across various classroom and school environments to ensure continuity of support.Participants will be able to: 1. Develop the skills necessary to accurately identify and categorize student characteristics aligned with each level of the Behavior Response Plan. 2. Learn to determine and apply appropriate, individualized supports for students. 3. Demonstrate the successful completion of the Behavior Response Plan. 4. Gain the knowledge and tools to design and implement a comprehensive, school-wide system that supports student behavior through the use of Behavior Response Plans and Crisis Response Plans.
