Possible Selves: Helping Your Student Through Transition
Possible Selves is a student-centered intervention focusing on self-determination, advocacy, and goal-setting. It consists of seven lessons, each targeting a specific skill or activity, guiding students to set and achieve goals through personalized action plans. The program addresses hopes, expectations, fears, and dreams to enhance student empowerment.Participants will be able to: 1. Identify and describe key outcomes of the Possible Selves intervention for students with disabilities, including increased self-determination and goal-setting capabilities. 2. Demonstrate strategies for helping students articulate and pursue individualized goals aligned with post-secondary or employment pathways. 3.Implement reflective activities that promote personal agency, life skill development, and social inclusion for transitioning youth.
