Pre-Convention Workshop 5: Empowering Special Education with AI: A Hands-On Workshop

*Additional Ticket Required Artificial intelligence (AI) is envisioned to transform many things across society, including how we educate students with disabilities. This hands-on workshop offers a practical introduction to AI’s role in special education, led by team members of a leading national center focused on supporting technology’s use and adoption in special education. Participants will explore how AI is influencing curriculum design, instruction, learning supports, and assessment practices. The session will also address key ethical considerations, particularly those related to the responsible implementation and provision of meaningful support for students with disabilities. Participants will leave with tools, resources, and real-world strategies that can be applied immediately in their educational setting.
