Project SUSTAIN: Developing and Implementing a Collaborative Intervention to Enhance Special Educators’ Working Conditions
Join us to discuss Project SUSTAIN, an intervention development study to improve special educators’ working conditions (i.e., the ways in which work responsibilities are allocated, structured, and supported). We will share findings from initial implementation in schools, seek audience input for improvement, and share opportunities to engage with the project. Participants will be able to: 1. Describe the importance of improving SETs’ working conditions for teacher retention and student outcomes. 2. Determine which research-based strategies are feasible to change at their school or district to improve SETs’ working conditions after the presentation. 3. Share their voice, experience, and feedback to inform the development of the intervention
