Resilience in Education: Advancing Literacy, Behavior, and Professional Well-Being
This session connects literacy, behavior, and educator well-being. Participants will be able to: 1. Increase their awareness of the connection between difficulties learning to read and internalizing and/or externalizing behaviors in the school and home and learn about strategies for a more interdisciplinary approach to supporting students and families. 2. Learn the importance of non-physical de-escalation strategies and how to apply them effectively to support autistic students. 3. Gain a practical framework for developing sustainable behaviors that can be incorporated into daily routines and collaborative team settings to promote long-term professional well-being.
