State Policy Advocacy: The Birth of Educators United for Action Wisconsin

A group of WI educators attended SELS and decided to bring their learning back to their state. This presentation shows how they connected special educators statewide, with the first event preceded by a local tragedy, shifting and reinforcing the work of the group. We will share state planning tips too!Participants will be able to: 1. Imagine what state advocacy might look like. 2. Conceptualize a topic or group focus of state advocacy. 3. Begin a plan for state advocacy efforts.
