Strengthening the Special Education Workforce with the SPARC Center and LEAD IDEA

The SPARC Center and LEAD IDEA come together to share the latest SPARC Center findings on the composition, distribution, stability, and effectiveness of the special education workforce in seven partner states. They also share LEAD IDEA’s latest resources for strengthening the special education workforce in your state and district.Participants will be able to: 1. Consider the status of the SET workforce in their local context, situating the challenges they are experiencing within the broader challenges that states are experiencing related to the composition, distribution, stability, and effectiveness of the SET workforce. 2. Use LEAD idea resources, including the provided scenarios and “toolkits,” to identify strategies to address their most pressing SET shortage and workforce challenges in their state, district, or school context.
