Ten Years of Teacher Residency Preparation and Partnerships: Impact and Lessons Learned

In collaboration with district partners, we will describe the impact of a decade of teacher residency programs. We will focus on retention rates, demographic trends, and qualitative insights, from residents and mentor teachers. We will highlight how ongoing feedback has informed and guided our refinements to the pathway.Participants will be able to: 1. Name the levers of teacher residency in action. 2. Utilize different feedback strategies in their programs. 3. Name/see/use practice-based teaching pedagogy in their teacher preparation, including the alignment of CEC’s High Leverage Practices in coursework and year-long student teaching experience.
