Thriving with AI: Responsive Literacy Practices for Twice-Exceptional Learners
Twice-exceptional learners require more than remediation—they need instruction that challenges, differentiation that adapts, and social-emotional support that affirms identity. This session integrates evidence-based literacy practices, generative AI with depth and complexity, and responsive classroom practices to equip educators with practical strategies for designing rigorous, inclusive pathways where exceptional learners thrive. Participants will be able to: 1. Apply evidence-based literacy practices and Scarborough’s Rope to design challenging, meaningful instruction for twice-exceptional and neurodivergent learners. 2. Leverage Generative AI with the Depth & Complexity framework to differentiate curriculum for diverse readiness levels and profiles. 3. Implement responsive classroom strategies that affirm identity, foster belonging, and support social-emotional needs while maintaining academic rigor.
