Using IRIS Resources for Flexible Professional Development on High-Need Topics

Designed for school and district professional development providers, this session will highlight our national center’s free, online resources, how to use them to develop self-directed, personalized learning pathways, and how they can improve knowledge and skills in evidence-based practices. Bring a laptop or tablet to engage with these innovative resources.Participants will be able to: 1. Independently explore the website and increase their knowledge about our center's open access educational resources on high-need topics like classroom and behavior management, UDL, working with diverse populations, explicit instruction, and more. 2. Identify resources to address current topics of needed professional development in their school or district. 3. Determine effective ways to use these resources in PD and personalized learning activities. 4. Use the knowledge and skills acquired from this session to offer meaningful professional development that meets the needs of today’s special educators.
