Utilizing a High-Leverage Practices Continuum to Prepare Educators to Teach and Reach All Students

High-Leverage Practices (HLPs) support all teachers and learners, but can overwhelm education preparation programs and professional development providers unsure of where to begin. This presentation highlights an HLP continuum that identifies specific areas of focus at each stage of teacher development and highlights opportunities for pre-service and in-service collaboration.Participants will be able to: 1. Implement the HLP Continuum in their setting to target pre-service instruction and/or professional development to meet the needs of the teacher/teacher candidate. 2. Use the HLP Continuum as a framework for cross-departmental collaboration to strengthen educators' implementation of the High-Leverage Practices.
