Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Employment Outcomes of Foster Youth with Disabilities in the United States

We aimed to address a gap in the literature regarding foster care youth with disabilities. We analyzed data from the U.S. Case Service Report (RSA-911) to determine the characteristics associated with foster care youth receiving services and what VR services are associated with likelihood of employment at VR program exit. Participants will be able to: 1. Learn about foster care youth and the current employment status of youths with disabilities within the foster care and state VR system and 2. Identify ways that they can support foster care youth as they enter the adult work force and seek VR services.
