What Matters Most: A School-wide Framework for Teachers of Students with/at Risk for Learning Disabilities

This framework outlines essential school-level conditions for ensuring that teachers feel confident adapting instruction for students with and at risk for learning disabilities. The framework is grounded in survey research from a national sample of general and special educators, and informed by a committee of practitioners, researchers, and policy experts. Participants will be able to: 1. Understand the key conditions needed to encourage effective collaboration between general and special educators so that all educators feel prepared to meet the diverse learning needs in their classrooms. 2. Learn key insights into the core instructional practices, competencies, and program design considerations that can prepare all educators to effectively collaborate and tailor instruction across general and special education. 3. Understand the importance of advocating for cross-collaboration and knowledge sharing across disciplines and leave with strategies for initiating dialogue with their general and special education colleagues.
