Workload Management for Itinerant Special Education Professionals

When considering staffing and special education service provision, administrators and teachers often adopt a caseload approach. However, results from a recent survey suggest that adopting a workload approach and active collaboration with itinerant special educators can make workloads more manageable.Participants will be able to: 1. Articulate reasons for adopting a workload approach for special education service provision and staffing. 2. Identify workload approaches to use with itinerant special educators and related service providers. 3. Implement strategies to help itinerant special educators and related service providers manage their workloads.
