You Can't Do that With AI or Can You? Exploring the Ethics of AI Use

Generative AI is rapidly changing how students learn, write, and demonstrate knowledge, faster than our policies and practices can respond. This session is designed to use classroom and professional scenarios as a lens to discuss ethical and unethical uses of AI. We will consider implications for academic integrity, transparency, and equity. Attendees will leave with adaptable language and guidance to communicate expectations clearly as well as an understanding of how to empower students, when appropriate, to use AI responsibly.
