Engaging ELA in Virtual Reality: From Charged Language to Creative Writing In this 45-minute beginner-friendly VR session, participants will experience three immersive ELA lessons that move seamlessly from one scene to another. First, attendees will join a VR boardroom of police cadets as they explore the power of charged language in persuasive contexts. Next, they’ll be transported to the Mountain Apartment crime scene for an interactive literary investigation of “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl. Finally, the experience culminates in a creative writing VR activity where students apply their learning in a collaborative, imaginative space.
