Level Up Learning: Custom Game Design with Gimkit Creative

This session will equip educators with the skills to design custom, engaging games for their students and, more excitingly, guide students in creating their own. Learn how student-led game design using Gimkit Creative fosters computational thinking, promotes collaboration, and ignites a passion for learning through an active design process. We will guide you through setting up a free Gimkit account and creating a quick platforming game tied to a set of content questions as well as discuss how it could be introduced to students from elementary to high school. Participants will leave with a ton of resources, including short videos that walk you through creating a platforming game.
