Assessment Security in the Classroom

Ensuring that your assessments accurately reflect student learning and that they give yourself and your students meaningful feedback about misunderstandings is an increasingly daunting task, but is one which can be managed using a handful of easy strategies. In this workshop, we'll discuss why students work around assessments instead of using them for feedback, and we'll outline some simple but effective strategies you can use to make sure your assessments are giving all students feedback on what they've learned. The focus will be on concrete strategies you can use in your classroom right away for assessments done on paper and using devices.
