No additional sign-ins will be accepted once the form closes. Unfortunately, this pilot is only available to substitute teachers employed by the Edmonton School Division. Here are the terms of the pilot as they are spelled out in Letter of Understanding #14 of the Edmonton School Division (ESD) Collective Agreement (p 69). *Please note: Due to the October labour action, ESD has agreed that only 14 days of work by December 31, 2025 are required for this convention only.* "Each substitute teacher on the substitute roster and who has worked eighteen (18) equivalent days by December 31 of each year, and who attends Teachers' Convention, will be paid the substitute daily rate under Clause 5.1.1 for each day they attend. The Greater Edmonton Teachers' Convention Board will provide a list of supply teachers in attendance at the convention to the School Division. Supply teachers meeting the above criteria, who are not in a contract where they are paid to attend the Greater Edmonton Teachers’ Convention, are eligible to submit an application to the Division for payment. Applications for payment for attendance at convention by supply teachers will not be accepted after April 15 each year." Following convention, Edmonton School Division human resources staff will assess eligibility. If you have fewer than 14 equivalent days of work logged by December 31, 2025, you will not receive pay for attending convention.
