From Controllers to Circuits: Teaching Engineering through Esports in Middle School

This project explores how competitive video games —Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Minecraft, and Rocket League— can become pedagogical tools to introduce complex engineering concepts to middle school students. Through gameplay dynamics, mechanics analysis, strategy design, and virtual world building, students develop skills in physics, computational logic and algorithmic thinking.
