From Roots to Resistance: Tracing the Culinary Journey of the Black Community

This session uses food as a lens to explore African American history and culture. Participants will trace the Middle Passage using Google Earth, connecting geography with culinary traditions, slavery, and cultural resilience. Through discussions and activities, educators acquire the tools to teach history, culture, and social justice creatively and engagingly.
