As artificial intelligence reshapes literacy practices, educators have new opportunities to turn traditional print texts into dynamic, multimodal learning experiences. This presentation demonstrates practical strategies for using AI to extend students’ engagement with text and deepen comprehension while honoring evidence-based practices rooted in the Science of Reading.  The session highlights ways educators can use AI to (1) ensure text accessibility to diverse learners by translating texts and creating leveled versions while maintaining core content; (2) support differentiation and multiliteracies by converting print materials into podcasts, short instructional videos, interactive flashcards, and visual representations; and (3) create interactive comprehension activities by integrating content into platforms like Kahoot, Quizlet. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with ideas and resources for leveraging AI to transform print texts into engaging, multimodal resources that are rooted in the Science of Reading and support inclusive literacy instruction in today’s classrooms.
