Full Circle: Cultural Dances for Young Learners

Dance is a vital part of PreK-12 education. During this session, Kellie Harvey, NBCT, will actively engage attendees in dance instruction based on Teaching Movement and Dance: A Sequential Approach to Rhythmic Movement by Phyllis S. Weikert. This text and session will provide music educators with a framework to successfully and confidently integrate folk dances and world cultures into their classrooms. The session will focus on circle and partner dances from around the world.
