Score Preparation for Successful Rehearsals: Study and Audiation

The instrumental conductor must process the score into musical expectations before rehearsals begin. Using works for band (Holst) and orchestra (Beethoven), Dr. Emge will outline nine steps to creating aural images of repertoire. This "hands-on" process of imaging the score into the mind will allow conductors to focus on what they hear, making rehearsals more efficient.
