Teaching Multilingual Learners in Music Ensembles
Saturday 21 February 2026·2:00 pm
Music educators are often charged with teaching multilingual learners in school music, yet very few resources exist to support this instruction, particularly in ensemble environments. In this session, participants will explore the limited research on multilingual music instruction, as well as the broader language-acquisition literature, which includes applications from other content areas. After this presentation, participants will have learned specific, practical strategies to be used in any music classroom, but especially ensemble settings.
