Teaching Musical Concepts using Movement in the General Music Classroom

This session will equip elementary general music educators with specific ways that they can use movement activities in the classroom to teach musical concepts including: melody, harmony, rhythm, pitch, timbre, dynamics, and form. Participants in this hand-on learning workshop will leave this session with 5 (or more) new lesson ideas to use in theirclassrooms on Monday morning, as well and several new ways to assess student learning through fun and engaging whole group activities!
