Colleen will detangle and demystify the challenge of taking children outside to learn in all types of Alberta weather. Studies have repeatedly shown the value of outdoor learning, but how do I manage kids? Achieve curriculum outcomes? Plan and prepare for success? These questions will be addressed explicitly in Colleen's practical and informative session. Session Objectives: 1. Identify effective strategies for managing student behavior during outdoor learning in various Alberta weather conditions. 2. Develop practical approaches to align outdoor activities with curriculum outcomes across subject areas. 3. Plan and prepare for successful outdoor learning experiences by understanding logistical, safety, and environmental considerations.
