Let's Make a Visual Journal: Learn Bookbinding Techniques and How to Promote Metacognition Through Visual Journaling PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED (Full Day Session)
Students learn more effectively when they use metacognitive strategies to reflect on their thinking. By expressing their understanding through words, pictures, and symbols, they can better process complex concepts and retain information for long-term use. This full-day, hands-on session will guide participants in creating a variety of journals from scratch, with a primary focus on incorporating metacognitive journal writing into any classroom setting. Educators will leave with practical strategies and skills they can immediately apply, regardless of subject areaâ€, to help students think more deeply, reflect more often, and learn more meaningfully.
