Nature of Science

This session will involve participants completing activities designed to explore the nature of science. The main emphasis is on showing how science progresses by refining models through observation and inference. The activities can be used in introductory science classes and senior science classes alike. Explore and have fun with classroom-ready manipulatives to bring science to life for students of all ages. The Perimeter Institute provides resources for teachers in both English and French.Session Objectives:1. Understand that the nature of science involves making observations, drawing inferences, testing models, modifying models, and extending models to make testable predictions.
