Manifesting the Village: Building a Creative Village of Black Othermothers Toward Educator Capability

This presentation shares a critical study centering Black women caregivers and teachers as they cocreate a preK–5 curriculum through four informal, arts-based workshops. Learn how the intersection of Black othermothering, the arts, and pedagogical intervention contributes to a “village” model of educational support for young Black learners and their educators.
