SRAE’s Past Chairperson’s Salon: Performing Languaging as Art Education

Focused on graduate student mentoring, this session invites emerging art education scholars to consider how languaging: vernacular, code-switching, local dialect, translanguaging, and multilingualism can be performed as art education research. Panelists will offer advice and discuss their experiences of conducting art-based and performative research. Presenters will include Leslie C. Sotomayor, Kathy Brown, Min Gu, Marta Cabral, Jorge Lucero, Rachel Fendler, Sara Scott Shields, and Lilia Cabrera.
